Who we are

French Island General Store is the only shop on French Island. It is unique because it is a community and tourism hub; cafe; small grocery store; post office; newsagent; bottle shop; bait and produce shop; petrol and LPG station; e-bike outlet; and accommodation provider.

What we offer

Our general store is open 7 days a week from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (except for Christmas Day). We offer a small grocery and dairy product line, soft drinks, alcohol, ice creams, fishing equipment and bait, local produce, wine, crafts, and an Australia Post service. Our café is open each day 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, where you can choose from our delicious menu, the Grab and Go fridge, pie warmer and beverage options. Our grilled menu finishes at 2.00 pm.

French Island General Store has three unique accommodation options. And we provide e-bikes for hire.
